An inspired mix of Liverpool’s gothic revival architecture and the city’s colourful music history, Ted’s created two bespoke stores in Liverpool One in harmony with one another.
Ted’s womenswear store puts the spotlight on classical, traditional forms, with a cash desk which pays tribute to Liverpool’s trading roots (proudly displaying a map of the shipping routes used to reach the famous docks), and an installation of pipes hanging above it which resemble organ pipes. The fitting rooms feature specially designed wallpaper depicting city landmarks, and reformed brass horns create eye-catching chandeliers.
Keeping in tune with the musical theme of his women’s store next door, Ted’s menswear-only store focuses on electronic music and features bespoke chandeliers, crafted from keyboards and electric guitars with lit wires. A wall of sumptuous velvet represents the curtains of a stage, not to mention a selection of framed Ted records on the wall and a cashdesk paying homage to the city’s DJs, housing turntables and mixers.
