Inspired by the voyage of one the first English settlers to Vancouver, ‘Gassy Jack’, Ted’s outlet store at McArthurGlen is styled after an expatriate’s whiskey saloon. Rustic flooring creates a bar-like space around the cashdesk, which contains a mock minibar, flanked by shelving. Feature walls are nautically themed, with portholes, shutters, ropes, boat bells and riveted metal sections. Fitting rooms boast bespoke wallpaper inspired by whiskey labels, while feature furniture gives the impression of sinking into the deck.
